A Powerful New Force in Motorboating
342kW (500HP)
Featuring Yanmar’s lightweight construction technology, this power plant combines superb fuel efficiency with higher top speed. Increased HP is obtained from a longer stroke and an aggressive turbocharger with aftercooling. Also featuring four valves per cylinder and extra high-pressure fuel injection system.

LY Series
Why A Six?
For boats, the ability to slot an engine as low down as possible, or to mount twin engines low in the vee of the boat has been critical. The straight six has thus become the configuration of choice, as the crankshaft is still not so long as to require heavy strengthening, there is more capacity advantage over a four, and a six is far narrower than v-eight.

BY Series
With 4 valves per cylinder, the BY range's dual air intake ports provide an optimized fuel/air mix that results in high torque across the power band and further improves engine efficiency. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) managed second-generation common rail fuel injection also gives outstanding fuel economy.

Compact Mid-Range Marine Power Plants
The 3JH3E 3 cylinder and the 4JH3E 4 cylinder naturally aspirated pair of engines have been joined by three new release 4 cylinder engines, the 4JH3E-TE(turbo), the 4JH3-HTE(intercooler-turbo) and the 4JH3-DTE(hi-power intercooler turbo), to create a family of five lightweight, user-friendly, clean, efficient and reliable marine diesels.
